In this teaching, I’m sharing – how we meet is important – and how a room creates atmosphere. People often get confused by the presence of God and the presence you feel in the room.
For example, people go to big churches today, or to Rome, to the St. Peter church at the Vatican, and as soon as they step in they say, “Whoa, can you feel it? God is here!” But, God is not more there, than He is at McDonald’s or in a home.
What you feel is not the presence of God. What you feel is the room. And how you meet is so important when it comes to discipleship.
Very often, the way we meet is hindering us in becoming a true family. How we meet is hindering us in making disciples. How we meet is so important when it comes to obeying Jesus and the command He has given us.
In this teaching, I’m sharing about the room – how important it is, and how we need to come back to the simple way of meeting in the homes as we read in the Bible. It’s not just about meeting in the home. It’s about everything that comes together with it – how we become family – how it’s easy for everyone to take part in the meeting, and ask questions if there are things they don’t understand.
It’s about the mindset that’s being created by meeting in the home – compared to the wrong mindset that’s being created when you meet in a church building with pews and a platform.
