WHAT SIGNS FOLLOW YOU? These signs – casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, healing the sick..

These signs – casting out demons, speaking in new tongues, healing the sick – are signs Jesus said should follow those who believe. It’s like a sign outside a shop. When you see the sign outside the shop, you know what you can get inside the shop.

In the same way, when you see people casting out demons, when you see people speaking in new tongues, when you see people healing the sick, you know what is inside of them – Christ in them! You know that they believe!

Of course, there are more signs, but this is what Jesus is saying in Mark 16. Read it for yourself here:

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mar 16:19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Mar 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

When you read something like this, you can do one of two things. You can try to say, “Oh, this is not for today because I don’t see it in my life,” and then you can twist the Bible to fit your life. Or you can also say, “Whoa! I don’t see this today, but these are Jesus’ words! I need to change my life to fit what Jesus is saying!”
