The truth is that most people out there have been hurt by the church, or leaders or people in the church. The question is, “How do we manage it when we get hurt?” Paul said here in I Corinthians 4:12-13, “We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly.” These are some of the things we need to do when we are mature in Christ.
